Deuteronomy 24:15-17

¹⁵ On that day you are to give him his wages—the sun is not to set on it—for he is poor and sets his heart on it. Otherwise he will cry out against you to Adonai, and you will have sin on you.

¹⁶ “Fathers are not to be put to death for children, and children are not to be put to death for fathers—each one is to be put to death for his own sin. ¹⁷ You are not to twist justice for an outsider or orphan, and you are not to take as collateral a widow’s clothing.
